Most suburbs we service lean one way — commercial or residential. The 2154 postcode genuinely does both, and at scale. Castle Towers and the strip along Old Northern Road put a substantial retail and showroom load into the centre of the suburb. The arrival of Castle Hill Metro changed the rhythm of the suburb rather than its character. More people come in, retail trades harder, and the showrooms along Old Northern Road — furniture, homewares, automotive, flooring — care more than ever about how a floor and a glass frontage look at 9am on a Saturday. Meanwhile the Showground end still fills with weekend crowds and clears out again, leaving hard floors and amenities that need turning around before Monday.
